I was thinking about one of the best Christmas movies ever, It's a Wonderful Life. It has been a favorite of mine for a long time now,and I seem to never get sick of it. It's like a favorite song... listening to it over and over again. The lyrics are just too good and too meaningful to not listen to it a couple times a day, or perhaps more.
This is how I feel with It's a Wonderful Life. The movie isn't only a great Christmas movie, it also has to do with life. A topic that all humans are familiar with. Though the title is positive, (someone's life is wonderful!) It doesn't appear to be a wonderful life till the end of the film. It is kind of like Thanksgiving in that sense, that you realize what you are thankful for, and what really matters in life. As well as whom you just might affect in life, through all the little or big connections we have with people. This is one of the lessons in this movie. If someone didn't know you, then how different they would be because of it, or what great loss they would experience. Each person in one another's lives affects another. That someone becomes a piece of your heart, and could perhaps change your life.
If you have not seen this movie, I highly suggest it. I mentioned in another entry called Black and White versus Color, where I talked about old movies. Yes, it is an old movie, black and white, but just as good, or even better than a modern film!! (Yes, I know that's debatable to some people.) However, I can guarantee that you will fall in love with it, and watch it every Christmas season, since it usually airs on TV.( like yesterday night, and Christmas Eve). I hope you have a lovely Advent and Christmas season, and that a piece of your heart goes out to another.
Awww...love that movie...
