Temperaments

I feel that it is important to know one's temperament. If you are unfamiliar with the temperaments, they are choleric, phlegmatic, melancholy, and sanguine. These four temperaments can determine someone's personality, and how one acts in every day life. With these temperaments, all of them have a good and bad side to them. Choleric is passionate, yet stubborn and feels to take control. Phlegmatic is more reserved and feels to take the easy way out, and is quite the opposite of a choleric person. They do not show passion as easily, and tend to be lazy. A phlegmatic takes more time than compared to all the other temperaments, to think things through. A melancholy is a deep person, whom can find the negative side of life, and the dark days of life spur on them, yet is thoughtful. A sanguine loves social events and is a bubbly person, yet can interrupt another easily. Their thinking tends to be scattered and unorganized.

The reason I bring this up, is because recently I took a test to find out my temperament. With the knowledge of what I know about myself, I believe that I am phlegmatic and melancholy. I know for sure that I am not a choleric, and I might have some sanguine inside of me, but I know that it is not a dominant temperament of mine. So if you are interested to find out what you are, you can take a test on line.
For knowing what you are can help you try to improve on the bad qualities of your temperament.
