Summer List
Right when I finished my last final, I thought about what I wanted to do over the summer. Every summer I try to make a list of things I wanted to do and accomplish. I feel it's a good thing to do because I know that I will use my time better and by the end of my summer vacation, I can see all of the things that I did.
For the past two weeks, I have also been flossing each night, and recording it. I wanted to get in the habit of flossing again, so I thought of doing a competition with a friend to see who can floss each night consistently.
Hope this will inspire you to do some of things you want to do over the summer!

I heart you 2011
I'm grateful for 2011, and all of the things that I have experienced and learned. It's crazy how much can happen in 365 days, yet time flies without us realizing it. And the famous saying, time flies when you're having fun. I believe this to be true, yet unfortunate. I plan to have a blast this New Year's Eve, and ring in the new year with reachable goals and good predictions and hope at least a few of them have come true from the ones I made last year.
I wish all of you the best in the New Year, and thank you for all of your comments and views, and supporting Kingfisher Writing!!! Happy 2012, and may your year be full of joy, happiness and peace.

Unfinished books
I was looking through my books in my room the other day, and I noticed that a few of them still had book marks in them. I remembered reading them, yet something happened where I didn't have the urge or motivation to finish them. I sometimes wish that I was one of those people who always finishes books, but for me that can be hard to do. It's not that it's unlikely that I won't, it's just that it can happen.
What also happens is that I read more than one book at a time, more like 2 or 3. I find it hard to only focus on one book. Maybe this should be a good new year's resolution... to finish what I read.

Long locks for a good cause
For a long time I have always wanted to grow out my hair for the organization Locks for Love. If you are unfamiliar with this, it is an organization that makes wigs out of donated hair for cancer patients who have lost their hair. The idea of donating my hair has always seemed good but felt like a long, straight road, like the road in the movie The Straight Story, almost never ending. Plus it doesn't help if you feel like your hair doesn't grow very fast.
However, I plan on growing my hair out long, and donating it to Locks for Love. I know it will get annoying having my hair long, since all the times in the past I have wanted so bad to get my hair cut because I was sick of having it long. But I figure that I will be doing it for not just for myself, but for other people who are in need of hair. So forget hair trims and hair cuts, and to let the leaves of a tree fall, and be draped off the tree just like my hair "falling" to a longer length, and eventually being cut and fall to the floor. For who knows how long it will take, just like waiting till all of the leaves are shaken off the tree.
