"Yes I can run, I can run run run"

This was from a song by Natasha Bedingfield called Run, that I listened to on Pandora. It made me think of exercising and running. Before I use to run practically everyday, I must admit it was a lot easier in the summer when the days were longer, and it was a lot warmer. However, I have been for the most part keeping up with running in this colder weather along with the sunlight decreasing each day.

Last week, I attempted to run in the rain. To be honest it was really fun, and it wasn't really even that cold compared to a cloudy, windy day. Of course I did get a little wet, since I came in before the pouring happened. But it's something about the rain that I like to run in, maybe because no one's really outside, probably all in the mall or the library. But I think it also has to do with that the rain lets your mind and matters pour out, and you can just let go. Its mysterious and also ambitious, strong weather, but you can join in and be ambitious too, by running in it.

My goal for this week is to get back into running when I can, even if it is a little cold. I've found that running/exercising really helps with stress, and clears your mind when you feel that you are weighed down. So embrace getting in shape this holiday season, because "I can run, I can run run run!"
