Adjusting to spicy

Last week my friend and I went out to lunch for her birthday at an Indian Restaurant. For the past couple weeks we have been planning to go to a restaurant that serves spicy food, especially since she knows that I don't love spicy food like she does. But we went. After all it was her birthday!
We had a good time and the food was really good. Lets just say the bread and the soda helped with the spices. Afterwards we took some pictures in the beautiful scenery.

Bridal Shower for my sista

Last Sunday was my sister's bridal shower in Sacramento. And what a shower it was! I had fun as well as the other bridesmaids and friends who were invited but most importantly my sister Meghan, the bride had a ball.

My sisters and my Mom and my Mom's friend had fun decorating her house before the shower while she was out eating lunch with her fiance'. I must say we did a pretty good job too. Although she knew that there was going to be a bridal shower at her house, she was still surprised as ever and smiling from ear to ear.

The food was amazing as well as the dessert. And the guests had a fun time with the games. One of them was making a wedding dress from toilet paper by wrapping it around the person who chose to be the  'bride' and the bride being the judge of which one she liked best.

It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny and anticipating the last few weeks before the big day!

Making a Statement with Red Pants

Recently I bought red pants, and thought it would brighten my wardrobe. I met Jessica Sills this past weekend in while I was in Sacramento. She is the author of just me -sillzie blog. And I was wearing red pants one day and she was saying how she has a pair too, yet doesn't know to where them. With the red pants being the big, bright and bold statement, it seems kind of intimidating but it doesn't have to be. So today Jessica and I decided to do a joint blog where we both took pictures and did a post about the new fashion trend, red pants.

I hope you like the red pants. I guess mine are more organish/ tangerine color. But I hope this encouraged you to wear any pant color that is out of your comfort zone.

Fashion Model to Role Model

Recently I watched an interview of  Leah Darrow. She has an amazing story. If you aren't familiar with her, she tried out for America's Next Top Model after college and got on the show. Her story starts from there, and is pretty intense. I feel like my explanation won't do justice, so I guess you just have to watch the interview for yourself.  You can go to you tube and watch an interview on her. I saw a long, but very good interview, and it was on Life on the Rock. She talked about her story, how she got into the modeling world , and what happened form there and what she is doing now.

She now is a speaker of fashion, modesty and dignity. Her story speaks to many girls, teenagers and young adults and older around the country. At first she was a Top Model, but now she's a Role Model.  I hope her story inspires and touches you, like it did for me.

scarves galore

Now that the weather is getting colder, I'm getting more into scarves. I feel that it's hard not to wear them, since they  keep you warm, and can also add color to your wardrobe. And plus there are many different styles you can do with them. It sort of depends on the length of the scarf, but all you have to do is experiment with your scarves, and research for more ideas if you're thirsty for more. 


The scarves I like most are the ones that are thick, but not too thick, and have the attached strings at the end. Also I love the ones that have patterns, and or are a solid color. Although I have a good numbered number of scarves, I feel like I wear one of them more than my other ones. I think it is so beautiful and can go with a lot of outfits. It has a pattern on it, and has the colors blue, green, and purple, so it's pretty versatile. Those are definitely the best ones, and will come of use this fall/winter season.
